Privacy
Information you provide
When you contact Allen, the information you provide may include your name, email address, phone number, location, preferred contact times and information about your business and setup needs. Correspondence, agreed work and invoicing records may also contain personal information.
The website enquiry form prepares an email in your browser. It does not submit your enquiry to a website database. You review and send the email from your own email account. If you choose the copy option, the prepared text is copied to your device’s clipboard.
Please do not include passwords, bank account or card details, identity documents, health information or confidential information about your clients in an enquiry. If information is needed for agreed setup work, discuss the appropriate way to provide it first. You can make a general enquiry without giving your full identity, although some details are needed to respond or deliver the service.
How information is used and shared
Information provided is used to respond to enquiries, discuss suitability, organise agreed setup work, communicate with you and maintain business and invoicing records. Information relevant to agreed setup may need to be provided to the account, domain, email or software providers you choose. Professional advisers or service providers may handle information where needed for administration or delivery, and information may be disclosed where required by law.
Website analytics and cookies
This website uses Google Analytics on businessinabox.net.au and its www address to understand visits and use of the site. Google Analytics may use cookies and process browser, device, network and page-interaction information. Hosting providers may also process technical request information to operate and secure the website. The enquiry form does not intentionally send its field contents to Google Analytics.
You can manage cookies in your browser, or use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on where supported. See Google’s Privacy Policy for its handling of information. Contacting Allen through Facebook, Google or another external service is also subject to that service’s privacy policy.
Embedded video
The homepage includes a YouTube video. The player loads only when you click to watch, using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed address. Once loaded, YouTube may process device, network and viewing information under Google’s Privacy Policy. You can leave the video unloaded and still use the rest of the website.
Cloud services and overseas processing
Email, website hosting, analytics and the third-party services used during setup may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries where those providers operate. The location depends on the provider, service and account settings. Ask Allen about the providers involved before sharing information if overseas handling is a concern.
Storage, security and retention
Enquiries and service records may be held in email and business record systems. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. Only provide information needed for your enquiry or agreed work. Records may need to be retained for service administration, accounting, legal obligations or resolving a dispute. You can ask about the information held about you and request deletion where it is no longer needed; legal or record-keeping obligations may prevent immediate deletion.
Access, correction and concerns
Email Allen to request access to or correction of your personal information, or to raise a privacy concern. Explain what you would like reviewed. Identity verification may be needed before information is released or changed. Allen will review the request and respond, including any reason it cannot be fulfilled. If a privacy complaint remains unresolved, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner for guidance about whether it can assist.
Service disclaimers
What the service provides
Business in a Box provides practical business-system setup, configuration and handover. The work, equipment, inclusions, price, payment terms and estimated timing are agreed in writing before proceeding. This page is general website information and does not replace your agreed service scope.
No guaranteed customers or income
Business in a Box is not a franchise, employer or customer-supply platform. Purchasing a setup does not guarantee leads, customers, bookings, contracts, payments, profit or income. You remain responsible for finding customers and delivering your services. Examples and previous customer experiences do not promise the same result for you.
Professional advice and your responsibilities
Practical setup assistance and website information are not legal, accounting, tax, financial or regulatory advice. Seek advice from an appropriately qualified professional where needed. You remain responsible for your business decisions, registrations, licences, qualifications, insurance, client agreements, privacy practices, records and any requirements applying to the services you deliver. Setup assistance does not establish eligibility for government funding or approval by a regulator.
Accounts, subscriptions and ongoing costs
Accounts and domains are established in your name or placed under your administrative control where practicable and as agreed. Third-party subscriptions, domain renewals, transaction fees and usage charges are separate unless expressly included in writing. Third-party services have their own terms, availability and pricing. Confirm ongoing costs before authorising a subscription.
Timing and AI-assisted drafts
Setup timing depends on your availability, required information, equipment and third-party processing. An estimated completion time is not a guarantee unless expressly agreed. AI-assisted text can contain errors: review facts, wording, confidentiality and suitability before using or publishing it.
Your consumer rights
Nothing on this website or in these disclaimers excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law. Contact Allen if supplied equipment or agreed setup work has a problem.
